Becky Wilburn
Managing Partner / Director of Business Development
Becky Wilburn knows firsthand what it means to pack up a life and start fresh somewhere new. As the wife of a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, she experienced the unique demands of military life — relocations, new communities, and the constant work of turning an unfamiliar place into home. That season of her life gave her something invaluable: a deep, personal understanding of how much the right support can mean when everything around you is changing.
Before joining Smooth Transitions in 2023, Becky built her professional foundation in real estate, beginning as an executive assistant and earning her broker's license along the way. That combination of lived experience and professional expertise gives her a rare ability to truly meet families where they are — with both the practical knowledge to guide them and the empathy to make them feel genuinely cared for.
At Smooth Transitions, Becky is known for the trusting relationships she builds and the calm, compassionate presence she brings to every family she serves. For her, this work isn't just a role — it's a calling.
When she's not helping families navigate their next chapter, Becky and her husband Calvin can be found supporting a nonprofit girls' volleyball club alongside their daughters. She also loves baking, creating artwork, and staying strong in the weight room.
Smooth Transitions founder, Barbara H. Morris, saw that there was an enormous need for compassionate and professional transition when helping her own family move from home to independent living.
In 1995, she took her 20 years of experience in the health care industry and brought that same level of compassion and professionalism to Smooth Transitions®. Since then, she has spread the Smooth Transitions brand internationally. She personally trains each location's owner, and provides ongoing education through the Smooth Transitions Academy.
Her leadership and exemplary service has been recognized by the National Association of Senior Move Managers, who presented her with their most prestigious award, The Margit Novack Award of Excellence.
Each Smooth Transitions location embodies the same compassion, professionalism, and exemplary quality of its founder.
